The final book takes some very unexpected turns. Sometimes it left wondering how all of this would fit together, but it really does come in for a very good landing. It just takes it's time to get there. It is not a fairy tale ending, but one based in a very real one with all the emotions of life. Still happy, but also, real. I love this series. I promise you it is like nothing you have read before, and it is wonderful.
