Dak Akkra is the Emissary of Mazidar with a secret.

There is mistrust between Mazidar and the Empire of Lodar. Dak seeks a treaty between the 2 kingdoms, but treachery lurks behind the scenes. Good read, BUT book ends with a cliff hanger. I will definitely buy the 2 sequels planned.
